What’s the first step?
Call and schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Byers. The process begins with analyzing your current hormone levels through blood work. If you like, our staff can provide you with our Patient History Questionaire and our Lab Request Form so that you can have the labwork complete prior to your first visit. Many our patients take our Lab Request Form to their primary care physician or to the lab that is in their insurance network/HMO. Then, during your consultation, you and Dr. Byers will review your current hormone levels, symptoms, lifestyle and the best course of treatment.
How do I receive my treatment?
A hormone pellet could be the size of a grain of rice and is slipped painlessly under the skin, typically in the hip. A mild, local anesthetic is used and the procedure takes less than five minutes. Repeat treatments involve a brief visit with the doctor a few times a year. That's it!
